Dance Appreciation

After graduating college with a degree completely unrelated to my job field, I decided to attempt to take a class which I would have needed to take if I had studied and acquired a degree in my job field of dance. (The previous was a great use of the subjunctive in English, you don't find it much anymore.)
In the class, Dance Appreciation, we basically survey dance history in general terms, as well as genre. We also watch many performance videos and dance made for film. I'm not sure I've learned much more than I already knew, I think I've just sharpened my tools a bit. Additionally we must also see dance performed live, and then write, not review, about what we saw.
Here is a list of what I would like to see before the end of this term.
However, I have learned that because I already have such a large background in dance, choosing to study something entirely different was in fact a great use of my time.

So, do I continue my adventure and take more classes like this one for a degree that doesn't exist, or save my money and continue to experience the dance world as a living, evolving organism first hand in the local dance community?
