Sweat, Stupidity, and a Show...

Well I just finished a most taxing rehearsal.

Have you ever worked with someone who just didn't get it?

Where you just wanted to yell at them,

"YOU ARE NOT THE MAIN PROTAGONIST IN THIS STORY!!! IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!!!"

Well I did tonight, and while I don't really regret my reaction to his stupidity, lack of respect, and unwillingness to take responsibility for his actions, I do know it was the wrong time to do it. We are trying to work together to present a professional show in Poland (see Invitation to Dance), and fighting isn't going to make it happen any more productively.

At least I felt better, for the moment.

Hopefully everything will work out fine...and if you're in the area, you can come by and see our open rehearsal this coming Thursday August 2nd, at 6pm in the Polish Hall on Interstate Ave, 3900 N. Interstate Ave (at Failing), right next to Kaiser.

I promise the only inappropriate behavior displayed will be choreographed.

Invitation to dance...

Well, I guess dancing for a crazy artist lady has paid off, because after I quit dancing for her, she decided to book a tour to Poland (as seen right). Unfortunately for her, she didn't have enough dancers, so I get to go to Poland, if I behave. I won't believe it until I'm actually over there performing. Exactly one month from now, I'll be on stage in Poznan, Poland bringing classical modern dance to life. After Poznan, we move on to Krakow, where the mayor has donated $3,000 for food, lodging, and travel expenses for the company.

The idea of such a trek is so exciting, I'm waiting for the surprise twist ending. So far rehearsal has been relatively painless as I relearn choreography. I hope our hard work and heart show on stage.

And...if the magic of the internet is made available to me I'll try and keep you up to date.
